## Sustain SC Funds Conservation Efforts Across South Carolina

Sustain SC has announced the second round of funding for this year through its Land and Water Action Platform (LAWAP). This month, Sustain SC will grant $138,969 with support from corporate partners, distributed across 12 projects in nine counties. These grants are intended to help protect 4,162 acres of land and water in South Carolina.

Organizations receiving grants in this round include Aiken Land Conservancy, American Battlefield Trust, Nation Ford Land Trust, Pee Dee Land Trust, SC Farm Bureau Land Trust, and Upper Savannah Land Trust.

In January, Sustain SC previously announced $47,175 in funding across five projects spanning five counties: Aiken, Colleton, Greenville, Hampton, and Lancaster.

Since spring 2025, LAWAP has awarded a total of $439,144 across 29 projects in 20 counties, contributing to the protection of 18,944 acres of land and water. The mission of the Land and Water Action Platform is to connect corporate investment with tangible conservation outcomes across South Carolina by creating a private-sector fund to accelerate conservation land deals.
