# HEAR HERE: Maxton Martin’s record 6-RBI night lifts Hub City Spartanburgers past Winston-Salem 10-7

Friday night at Fifth Third Park belonged to Maxton Martin. The 20-year-old infielder drove in a club-record six runs and finished a triple shy of the cycle as the Hub City Spartanburgers held off the Winston-Salem Dash 10-7, evening their High-A series at two games apiece.

Martin reached base in four of his five plate appearances. His three-run double in the eighth turned a one-run lead into a four-run cushion and gave reliever Cole Stasio (W, 2-0) the breathing room he needed to close out the ninth, according to the [Spartanburgers’ game recap](https://www.milb.com/hub-city/news/hc-4-24-26-game-recap). The MiLB Stats API [box score](https://statsapi.mlb.com/api/v1/schedule?sportId=13&teamId=6324&date=2026-04-24) confirms the 10-7 final under gamePk 822112.

Hub City’s bullpen had to improvise. Scheduled starter Dalton Pence was scratched, so Joey Danielson made his first professional start and worked a scoreless frame with two strikeouts. Josh Sanders followed with six straight outs through the third before the Dash batted around in the fourth — Caleb Bonemer’s leadoff solo home run, his third of the series, sparked a three-run inning that briefly trimmed the Spartanburgers’ lead to 4-3.

The bottom of the fourth answered. Cal Stark doubled to left-center, and the home offense methodically rebuilt the cushion. Coming off a 16-run effort Thursday, the Spartanburgers have now scored 26 runs across two nights at Fifth Third Park. With one game remaining in the six-game set, the series is squared and Hub City sends its rotation back out for the rubber match.

For Spartanburgers fans tracking Texas Rangers prospects, Martin’s six-RBI night is the kind of performance that lands a 20-year-old on the organizational radar. The franchise — which moved from Hickory to Spartanburg ahead of the 2026 season — keeps drawing the kind of crowds that the city’s downtown business owners say validate the Fifth Third Park investment.
