Spartanburg High School Vikings have released what promises to be one of the most challenging football schedules in Upstate SC for the 2026 season, featuring three consecutive road tests including back-to-back games against Gaffney and Greenwood before hosting Dutch Fork — the four-time defending 5A state champion.
2026 Spartanburg High Vikings Football Schedule:
- Aug. 21 — at Gaffney
- Aug. 28 — at Greenwood
- Sept. 4 — Dutch Fork (Home)
- Sept. 18 — Byrnes (Home)
- Sept. 25 — at Charlotte Latin
- Oct. 2 — Rock Hill (Home)
- Oct. 9 — Fort Mill (Home)
- Oct. 16 — at Northwestern
- Oct. 23 — Boiling Springs (Home)
- Oct. 30 — at Dorman
Coming off a 7-5 season, the Vikings return Power-4 running back prospect Trenton Lynch and will look for a new signal caller under center. The schedule includes a clash with new region rival Northwestern, which won the 5A Division II state title last season.
The home opener against Dutch Fork will be one of the most-watched games in Upstate SC this fall.
