Stone posted rounds of 71-74-69 across the three days and recorded ten birdies throughout the tournament. He also tied for eighth in player pars with 35.

Teammate Alec Prentice closed strong as well, carding a final-round 69 to finish at a complete score of 221 (77-75-69). Prentice is one of the Spartans’ top performers this spring and has collected a Big South Weekly award earlier in the season.

The tournament was played on the Country Club of Spartanburg’s par-71, 6,434-yard layout. Founded in 1908 and designed by Donald Ross, the Country Club of Spartanburg is one of the most historic courses in the Upstate and regularly hosts collegiate and regional tournaments.

USC Aiken’s winning performance was paced by Karl Frisk, who shot five under par, 208, for the tournament, finishing third individually. Cameron Baez finished second on the Pacer roster at two under par, 211.

USC Upstate will turn its attention next to the Big South Championship, scheduled for April 26 to 29 at Fripp Island. The Spartans need a strong showing to close out their regular season on a high note heading into the conference tournament.
