SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Spartanburg School District 2 said three people were injured after a crash involving a school bus on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, a bus in Spartanburg School District 2 was involved in an accident on Hanging Rock Rd. near Valley Falls Rd., the district reported Wednesday. According to Adrian Acosta, Director of Public Relations for Spartanburg School District 2, the bus driver and all 12 students aboard avoided serious injuries. Acosta said one student was taken to the hospital to be checked out, but that student is now at home recovering. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the other vehicle involved in the crash was at fault. Three people in this vehicle were hospitalized.

“We can’t say enough about the incredible response from our friends at the Boiling Springs Fire Department, Hilltop Fire Department, Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office and the Highway Patrol,” Acosta said. “Please keep everyone involved in this accident in your prayers.”
