USC Upstate’s engineering and technology programs are increasingly partnering with major Spartanburg County employers including BMW Manufacturing and Michelin North America to connect students to hands-on industry experience.
The partnership program allows USC Upstate engineering students to work directly with Spartanburg’s world-class advanced manufacturing sector, gaining real-world skills while still in school.
Spartanburg County is home to one of the most concentrated areas of advanced manufacturing in the United States, making it an ideal location for engineering education that translates directly to employment.
USC Upstate, located in Spartanburg and competing in the Big South Conference, serves thousands of students from across Upstate SC.
