The 2026 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by TD SYNNEX released its full celebrity lineup on Monday, April 27, with Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Bill Murray headlining a field of 24 celebrities set to compete at the Country Club of Spartanburg and Thornblade Club in Greer when the tournament tees off June 4–7.
Now in its 26th year, the Korn Ferry Tour event is the only tournament in professional golf where amateurs and celebrities play alongside tour professionals in a three-day better-ball format across two courses. The tournament benefits nine featured Upstate South Carolina charities and since 2001 has awarded more than $17 million to nonprofit organizations in the region.
Murray, best known for his roles in Caddyshack and Ghostbusters, is new to the tournament this year. He is joined by nine additional first-time participants, including seven-time Cy Young Award winner and MLB pitcher Roger Clemens, television actor Patrick Warburton (David Puddy on Seinfeld), actor Joel Murray (Fred on Mad Men), former NBA Champion Dorrell Wright, Emmy Award-winning sports broadcaster Jimmy Roberts, X Games medalist and street skateboarder Sean Malto, Jack Daniel’s Master Distiller Chris Fletcher, and golf content creators Phoebe Carles and Carter Vynckier.
Returning fan favorites include actor Brian Baumgartner (Kevin on The Office), former USA Soccer player and CBS Sports analyst Clint Dempsey — a member of the Furman University Athletics Hall of Fame — former NFL and University of South Carolina quarterback Connor Shaw, sportscaster and former wide receiver Steve Smith Sr., 2x NBA Champion J.R. Smith, 2018 MLB All-Star Aaron Hicks, YouTube golf star Grant Horvat, and former NHL Stanley Cup champion Shawn Thornton.
Tournament Director Michael McGovern said celebrating the 26th edition of the tournament brings an exceptional group of celebrities alongside a full week of events designed to engage the broader community, both on and off the course. He described it as a celebration that extends far beyond the golf competition itself across the Upstate region.
Tournament week kicks off Saturday, May 30 with the Dog & Jog ForeK Run/Walk at Thornblade Club and the ParTee on Trade event in downtown Greer on May 31. The official tournament rounds are scheduled June 4–5 at the Country Club of Spartanburg and June 4–7 at Thornblade Club. On Thursday, June 4, a concert featuring KC and the Sunshine Band is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium. Saturday, June 6 features Military and First Responders Day with a flyover tribute and the Flying Tigers Parachute Demonstration Team, followed by a Bill Murray and His Blood Brothers concert at 7:30 p.m. Championship Sunday concludes the week June 7 at the Thornblade Club 18th green.
The amateurs, celebrities, and professionals rotate between Thornblade Club and the Country Club of Spartanburg on Thursday and Friday. The 12 lowest-scoring amateur teams and four lowest-scoring celebrity teams advance to the Saturday final round at Thornblade Club, while the top 65 professional golfers also play the final two rounds there.
Tickets and volunteer information are available at bmwcharitygolf.com. South Carolina Charities, Inc., the nonprofit foundation behind the tournament, manages all proceeds distribution to Upstate organizations.
