Greenville, S.C. — Harper General Contractors opened a new office Oct. 8 in the Poinsett Highway corridor after investing nearly $7 million in an underused area just north of the city, the company said.

The Club Road office is Harper’s third in Greenville and will employ 100 full-time, salaried workers for specialized teams including HarperXS, EQUIPRO by Harper, and the company’s construction IT departments.

Harper has been behind high-profile downtown projects such as United Community Bank, Unity Park, and new Peace Center music venues, and has built a presence across the Southeast.

Executive vice president Bryan Royal said Greenville has been home to Harper for generations and that the third office reflects confidence in the city and a push to create value as the firm grows.

The Poinsett Highway corridor has drawn public and private investment aimed at shifting its industrial look as Greenville grows outward. Harper cast the new office as a potential catalyst for more improvements in the area.

An opening ceremony for the Club Road site was held Oct. 8 as the contractor shifted specialized staff into the new space along the corridor north of downtown.
