SPARTANBURG, S.C. — College runners converge on Spartanburg on Saturday for the Upstate Invitational, a USC Upstate-hosted cross country meet that closes the regular season for several visiting programs.
Georgia Southern listed the meet as its last regular-season race of 2026, with races set for 9 a.m. Saturday at USC Upstate.
The Citadel men’s and women’s squads are also entered, returning to action Saturday at the Upstate Invitational hosted by USC Upstate.
Visiting programs framed the Spartanburg stop as a chance to sharpen race fitness before conference championships and other postseason meets.
The meet keeps Saturday morning traffic and parking busy around the USC Upstate campus on the north side of Spartanburg as fans and teams arrive for the morning races.
